We stopped at the Singapore airport en route from Australia to Pakistan. Many individuals discussed the excellence of the Singapore Air terminal. You may do many enjoyable and cost-free activities at Changi Airport, during your trip, and even when you first arrive in Singapore. So we decided to explore the Airport. We had enough time of eight hours for our next flight.
Changi Airport was voted
the best airport in the world in 2023 in Skytrazx's World Airport
Awards. This is the 12th time that Changi Airport has earned this title. Changi
Airport also won awards for the World's Best Airport Dining and World's Best
Airport Leisure.
Whether you're in Singapore for a delay, or spending some days in tropical heaven, Changi Air Terminal will undoubtedly charm you the second you land.
Attractions at Changi Airport
- See the World's
Tallest Indoor Waterfall, the HSBC Rain Vortex.
- See Canopy Park and the Forest Valley.
- Enjoy the HSBC
Rain Vortex's Light and Sound Show.
- Walk around the garden of sunflowers.
- Swim in the rooftop pool.
We first decided to
treat ourselves. Changi has over 220 food and drink outlets, from sports bars
to noodle joints. T2's Penang Culture is a feature (try the grilled salmon). At
the same time, there are more than 100 diners in Gem Changi Air Terminal,
including 33 that are open throughout the hours. T1 has three open-air regions,
including the Cactus Garden, higher up past Burger King. It has a bar,
the Hops Bar, where you can get a beverage all day, every day, and is the best
spot to watch aeroplanes take off and land. A wide selection of halal food is
available at Changi Airport, including Western, Japanese, Korean and local
cuisine. Burger King was tried by my kids, who thought it was delicious. I
choose to give Sanook Kitchen a try. Fried rice, pineapple, and stuffed chicken
wings were all excellent.
Waterfall
The Singapore Jewel, which opened in
2019, is now the tallest indoor waterfall in the world! From 130 feet up water
cascades from the dome above creating a massive centrepiece in the middle of
the structure. The Singapore Jewel can be seen while travelling via the
Skytrain that links Terminals 2 and 3. Therefore, if you're only passing
through the airport, you can take the tram to see the waterfall up close. Tram travel is the most convenient way
to view the Jewel Changi attractions if you're pressed for time. It is a breathtaking
waterfall at the centre of a rainforest canyon surrounded by a gorgeous
latticework construction creating an incredibly magical experience.
It's a breathtaking sight to see a
lovely garden in the centre of an airport. One will be astounded to notice how
many flowers are there. In the pond, there are also colourful fish.
The design itself is attractive and photogenic. Perfect place for capturing
photos. The location of the train station for the other terminals is rather
close by. It was such a pleasant and refreshing moment.
Kids' Zone
Kids loved the children's play area as they waited for the next flight. That serves as a form of amusement while you wait. Time was running out, yet there were still a ton of things to do. We had to proceed with the check-in.
There is something for
everyone at Changi Airport. You may optimize your time and have a delightful
and unforgettable transit experience.
